Oughtibridge Gala 2020

Sadly, the Oughtibridge Gala Committee

have decided we have no choice but to

cancel both our 2020 Gala events.

Although we hope restrictions will soon be

eased, it is essential we consider the health

and well-being of the people of

Oughtibridge, and our neighbours.

We plan to ensure that our 2021 Gala and

Sports Night come back stronger than ever.

Wednesday 19th June 2019

Kindly sponsored by Medieval Mayhem

Sports Night is a fun night for any child who likes to race and a serious competition for running enthusiasts.

As usual the event finishes with the Tom Holmes Gala Chase. The Chase is organised with Penistone Footpath Runners & AC Running Club and we are very grateful for their support.

Children's Events

Children of all ages are invited to take part in a variety of races.

You don't need to sign-up for your race, just listen out for the announcement and head for the start line.

Warm-up starts at 6:15. Don't miss it!

Children's events start at 6.30pm.

Each primary school age group has two races, a simple running race and then one other race (either bean bag or obstacle).

Races will be divided into PRE-SCHOOL Run for Fun and SCHOOL YEAR GROUPS, so listen out for your call.

If you want to join in with a race, you MUST be wearing appropriate footwear - eg, trainers or plimsolls, and sensible clothing, if the Stewards feel that you are unsuitably dressed you will not be allowed to take part for your own and other's safety.

Oughtibridge Gala Rosettes will be presented to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers in all races.

Parents' Events

Back again this year will be the Mums and Dads egg and spoon race!
